We are seeking a People Team (primarily recruiting) Coordinator to support various Talent Acquisition and Human Resource functions (phone screens, coordinating with candidates, scheduling, hosting onsite interviews, onboarding, etc) at our Jersey City, NJ facility. The ideal candidate will have either some educational or practical Human Resources or Recruiting as well as general administrative experience. They will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure tasks and projects are completed to standard even when leadership is not in the building. To succeed in this role, you should be familiar with HR software and tools or be tech savvy.

What you’ll be responsible for:

  • Conducting phone screens and resume reviews for varying roles including hourly and salaried functions
  • Support the recruitment function by assisting with administrative tasks as needed
    • Scheduling phone interviews and onsite interviews
    • Greeting and managing candidates onsite
    • Coordinating & setting up candidate lunches
    • Booking travel
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, HR events etc. and maintain the team’s agenda
  • Support New Hire Orientation as needed
  • Responding to internal and external HR & recruiting related inquiries or requests and providing assistance 
  • Redirecting HR related calls or distributing correspondence to the appropriate point of escalation 
  • Maintaining records of personnel-related data in both paper and our HRIS system to ensure all employment requirements are met 
  • Assist with cascading company communications in verbal and written format
  • Become familiar with HRIS system and assist with troubleshooting candidate and new hire concerns
  • Engage with new hires ensuring they understand policies, have access to systems and are set up for success during their first several weeks
  • Assist with tracking and follow up on sign offs on company trainings and policies and coordinate new hire training as needed
  • Assist with employee recognition programs, service awards, and culture initiatives
