This position will primary be responsible for performing a wide variety of general customer services in support of the Police Department to include responding to questions and inquiries from the general public regarding program operations.</p> <p><strong>Minimum Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED.</li> <li>Two (2) years of directly related clerical or data reporting experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).</li> <li>Two (2) years plus of high – volume call center, public contact, and data entry.</li> <li>Experience in preparing / transcribing reports.</li> <li>Knowledge of Records Enterprise or other Police Records Management Systems, CAD systems and Texas Penal Code.</li> <li>Prior law enforcement experience.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Data Reporting Technician job responsibilities include: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct a high volume of telephone calls to citizens who have been victims of a criminal offense in order to document the specific offense or incident.</li> <li>Record detailed information including: type of offe
