About the role
Overview
This position is responsible for leading a designated team of pharmacy technicians within the pharmacy department or lead a system wide initiative that the technician coordinates with various pharmacy department leaders and staff. This leader is expected to be a highly motivated, experienced, and accountable pharmacy technician leader who will help further develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive and progressive operational services. This position may also oversee all human resource and finance aspects of the designated department. This position will help train staff, evaluate competency, and promote regulatory compliance if applicable for the services and/or staff they coordinate.Responsibilities
Serve as a leader and coordinator to the designated pharmacy technician team.-------------------------------------------------Oversee scheduling of pharmacy technician resources to ensure completion of daily activities.-------------------------------------------------Maintain regulatory compliance and quality control standards for designated area of oversight.-------------------------------------------------Evaluate financial performance of department and contribute to health system financial goals.-------------------------------------------------Perform training of new employees and addresses overall performance of technician team.-------------------------------------------------Provide human resource support to assigned direct reports if applicable.-------------------------------------------------Assist pharmacy leadership in developing department goals and develops plan to meet department needs and goals.-------------------------------------------------Provide leadership, manages and serves as role model by supporting our organization?s culture, values, and standards of behavior at all times.-------------------------------------------------Provides oversight and direction for the coordinated system wide initiatives if applicable-------------------------------------------------Leads development of standard work, audit processes and conducts regularly scheduled audits for the coordinated system wide initiative if applicable-------------------------------------------------Participates in continuous improvement, education and planning activities related to their area.-------------------------------------------------Ensures routine surveillance and audits coordinated areaQualifications
EDUCATION:REQUIRED:High school diploma or equivalentPREFERRED:Associate degree in pharmacy technology or other healthcare related degree EXPERIENCE:REQUIRED:At least 2-years of experience working in a comparable pharmacy setting.PREFERRED:Preferred leadership experience and involvement in regulatory compliance activities or oversight. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIRED:Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) Pharmacy technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hireRegistered with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hireValid Driver's License | If driving Cone Health vehicle, must have 5 years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.PREFERRED:PTCB Advanced Certification (i.e. Controlled Substance Diversion Prevention, Medication History, Hazardous Drug Management, etc) in the area the technician coordinates.Apply for this role
