The One 23 Group, a Virginia-based Government Contractor, seeks a TOP SECRET/SCI Cleared Senior Systems Engineer local to Washington DC Metropolitan area.
RequirementsWe are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer will be responsible for leading and performing complex systems engineering activities, including planning, performance management, capacity planning, testing, validation, and benchmarking. The role requires managing technical documentation, coordinating the activities of systems engineers, and ensuring that all systems are developed and maintained to meet both organizational goals and cybersecurity requirements. The Senior Systems Engineer will play a key role in ensuring that IT systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives, while also providing technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systems Engineering Planning: Lead and manage systems engineering efforts, including developing project plans, coordinating activities, and ensuring project milestones are met.
- Performance & Capacity Management: Oversee system performance and capacity planning to ensure systems are optimized for current and future needs.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct system testing and validation to ensure that systems meet the necessary performance, security, and operational standards.
- Benchmarking & Information Engineering: Perform benchmarking to measure system performance and compare with industry standards. Apply information engineering techniques to improve system efficiency.
- Documentation Development: Analyze and create detailed technical documentation related to system integration and performance.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate the efforts of assigned Systems Engineers and Junior Systems Engineers on specific engineering projects, providing guidance and technical leadership as necessary.
- Support Senior Systems Engineer: Provide support to the Senior Systems Engineer by assisting with complex tasks and contributing to the successful execution of projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of eight (8) years of related work experience in systems engineering.
- With a Master's degree, a minimum of six (6) years of relevant work experience is acceptable.
- Proficiency in systems engineering principles, project management, performance analysis, and technical documentation development is essential.
· Certifications:
· REQUIRED – Must possess one of the following:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- CompTIA Security+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Clearance:
· Must possess an active TOP SECRET/SCI clearance.
