AVP, Data Platform Engineering

Job Overview:

This is a unique opportunity to impact and build a brand new innovative product within LPL to monitor and visualize how data flows through our platform and intelligently detect and alert on anomalies. This exciting product is at the center of the modern data platforms at LPL.

Responsibilities:

• Be part of a scrum team and collaborate to design and build new ways to monitor, visualize and manage data flows.

• Bring new ideas and help innovate on the suite of products to create and enhance best in class product capabilities.

• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their specific capabilities and needs and be able to think strategically on how to incorporate new capabilities into the system without creating one-off solutions.

• Be a team player, continue learning and help teach new or junior members of the team.

• Understand the role and business value of the applications and help drive new ways to deliver value.

• Operate with ambiguity and navigate requirements that aren’t always clearly defined

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• 5 years of experience with React and JavaScript

• 5 years of experience with Python

• 5+ years of professional experience in designing and building full stack applications, preferably on AWS

• 5+ years’ experience with AWS serverless application architecture and NoSQL (Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.)

• 5+ years’ experience delivering features in an agile framework via CICD pipelines

Preferred Skills:

• 5+ years’ experience building and integrating to REST APIs

• 5+ years’ experience with DevOps and continuous integration

• 2+ years’ experience leveraging GenAI / LLM to build and deliver features

• Experience with Snowflake

• Experience with leadership in a technical team preferred (feature delivery or people leadership)

 

Pay Range:

$140,475-$234,125/year

 

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
