JOB TITLE: Learning Environment Associate

DEPARTMENT: Sales

REPORTS TO: Director of Client Success Team

FLSA STATUS: Exempt TYPE: Full time

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Our Learning Environment Associates (LEA) overall duties are to actively engage in learning experiences preparing them to be a Learning Environment Specialist. The LEA role includes attending trainings, Studio meetings, assisting in time sensitive projects within the organization, and work within the Studio to build relationships. At the conclusion of the program, the LEA will plan to generate revenue at company margin through building an adequate qualified pipeline, acquiring target clients, and fostering good customer relationships with the help of the Meteor marketing, business development, and support teams.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Works in concert with their Cohort to engage in learning activities provided

• Learn sales and business development strategies to build a sufficient qualified pipeline of future projects

• Works with support teams to increase communication during the fulfillment phase of projects to ensure a high level of client satisfaction

• Alert to competitive activity and development of creative methods to obtain new accounts

• Attends training sessions as required along with networking events and trade shows, as requested

• Understands territory planning and administrative responsibilities to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

• Understands and assists in developing the customer relationship before, during and after the sale

• Assists in engaging high-level school, district, architectural and at times community stakeholders to gain consensus and facilitate change to current learning experiences and environments

• Active involvement with specific trade shows and trade organizations for networking opportunities, as well as professional development

• Remains current on key education reform trends and initiatives and applies them to MeTEOR value propositions for the benefit of prospects and clients

• Secures new customers by spending time in the field, obtaining initial and repeat orders, utilizing excellent time management skills relative to planning and organizing daily and weekly work schedules to call on existing or potential customers

• Understands and follows quoting and procurement policies

• Understands and communicates product information to customers to successfully promote

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to think, plan and act strategically

• Ability to learn Prospecting, Territory Management, Time Management, Presentation, Negotiation, Closing, Problem Solving and Customer Service skills

• Attention to detail

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• College degree is preferred; High School diploma or its equivalent required

• Must be able to pass criminal background and drug screening

• MS Office skills required

NOTE: All Meteor new hires are expected to attend an in-person cultural orientation which requires travel to our home office in Gainesville, FL. Employees may also be required to travel and attend annual company meetings and events. All business-related travel expenses will be paid for by Meteor per our company travel and expense policy.
