Job Duties

  • Manage the securities registration notice filing process and internal and external systems for the Bureau of Securities.

  • Receipt and process incoming payments for securities registration; process filings into internal database solution; identify, investigate, and resolve errors in notice filing systems; review and verify filings, fees, and information for accuracy; communicate with registrants regarding any discrepancies and/or deficiencies; investigate and resolve errors and inaccuracies.

  • Prepare new registered securities offerings for securities analyst. Process securities issuer withdrawal and termination requests.

  • Communicate orally and in writing with registrants and the public in response to questions.

  • Support the Deputy Director and the Bureau regard to records management, outreach, internal and external reporting, and mail processes.

  • Lead projects related to digital records management and data integrity.

  • Cross train for other support staff duties. Back up to the receptionist and mail solution. Perform other administrative support tasks as directed.

  • To comply with Neb. Rev. Stat. § 81-1396, the position will need to complete fingerprinting with the Nebraska State Patrol within 2 weeks of hiring or as soon as practicable. Costs of fingerprinting will be paid by NDBF.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience related to research, presentation, or publication in an area related to the programs or functions of the employing agency; business administration; accounting; customer service; and/ or technical support work, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.

 

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred 2-3 years of office management, administrative and/or technical experience.  Preferred some college/associates degree in business, office management, or IT related classes. 

 

Other: Regular and reliable attendance is required.


 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

The candidate should have knowledge of program-administrative policies and guidelines of the employing agency. Administrative and office processes and procedures and associated computer applications such as word processing, file management, record keeping, and database management.
