Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a motivated Development Project Engineer to support the F-15EX Program in St. Louis, MO. The selected candidate will lead the Flight Control Computer Redesign effort for the F-15EX program. This role requires strong project engineering expertise combined with program management best practices to ensure successful execution of the development program.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Flight Control Computer Redesign project from concept through development, testing, and delivery

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for the F-15EX customer and Boeing leadership on all Flight Control Computer redesign activities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations to meet program milestones

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including systems engineering, software, hardware, suppliers, and Boeing Global Services to ensure alignment and timely execution

  • Monitor and report on cost, schedule, and technical performance metrics to leadership and stakeholders

  • Manage risk identification, mitigation plans, and opportunity assessments throughout the project lifecycle

  • Maintain strong working-level relationships with the customer and internal teams to facilitate communication and issue resolution

  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards

  • Compare actual project results to baseline plans to assess performance, identify lessons learned, and implement continuous improvement

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience   

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading avionics hardware development programs.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $114,750 - $155,250
