Banquet Set-Up Porter - Full Time (Tropicana Laughlin)

Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

SUMMARY: The Banquet Set-Up Porter is responsible for the set up and break down of all Banquet functions per the Event Order.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Perform set up and break down of all banquet functions per the event order in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensures that set up and break downs are done in a timely and efficient manner and that the banquet event order specifications for set up and arrangement are followed and completed properly.
• Maintain the organization, cleanliness and security of the Banquet storage area and general guest areas.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Banquet Supervisor/Manager.
• Must be available for scheduled work.
• Must exhibit Family Style Service model at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. One to three years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must be able to obtain any and all required State, County or Local registrations and/or licenses, if required.

 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Must be able to effectively communicate in English to guests and other employees. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and employees.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to work with weight measurements, volume and distance.
