Senior Project Manager (R&D)

Take charge of the development of business-critical R&D projects in an agile software development environment at Emerson's Test & Measurement group. As a Senior Project Manager (R&D), you'll have the chance to craft innovative projects, driving excellence and encouraging collaboration within our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Establish and outline project scope, build comprehensive plans, and establish timelines. Ensure seamless planning, execution, and completion of medium to large R&D projects.
• Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources, including team members, to compete and successfully implement various tasks and phases of the project.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop and implement strategies to mitigate them, and intensify communication with leadership when necessary.
• Team Leadership: Lead and motivate the development team to ensure effective collaboration and communication. Maintain and support the project team, monitoring performance and health.
• Communication with Stakeholders: Maintain effective communication with collaborators at all levels, from leaders to individual contributors, ensuring they are informed and actively involved.
• Quality Assurance: Drive projects according to T&M processes to meet required quality standards.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Technical Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant technical field.
• Project Management Expertise: Knowledge of project management frameworks, tools, and practices such as Agile and Kanban.
• Effective Communication: Proficient in conveying important information through clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Experience: 3+ years of prior technical development experience, with exceptional time management skills.
• Leadership: Prior experience in a leadership role is advantageous, showcasing the capacity to guide and encourage teams.
