Job Overview

As a Regional Parts Manager at Komatsu, you’ll be responsible for overseeing inventory management, and logistics. Your role will directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Job Responsibilities

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead a team of materials specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
  • Lead a team located in 4 different areas (2 Utah, 1 Wyoming and 1 in Nevada)
  • A people first person, able to build strong relationships with team members.

 

Safety and Compliance:

  • Uphold safety standards in materials handling and storage.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations related to hazardous materials and transportation.
  • Maintain compliance of 5s principles in all locations.

 

Customer Relations and satisfaction

  • Be able to build and maintain strong customer relationships both internal and external.
  • Align customer needs to business process to optimize customer satisfaction
  • Monitor and manage customer satisfaction surveys to ensure proper training and corrective actions.

 

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor inventory levels, optimize stock levels, and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Implement best practices for inventory control, accuracy, and turnover.
  • Manage and expedite backorders on an emergency basis.

 

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Coordinate material flow, transportation, and distribution to meet production needs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with SAP and CDK would be a benefit
  • A 4-year technical degree preferred or applicable work experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in the mining industry or heavy equipment maintenance industry
  • 3-5 years in a management and leadership role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mining and Construction industry experience 3-5 years.
  • APICS Certification.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in Inventory management, preferably in heavy equipment or manufacturing industries.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in inventory software.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge of Lean principles and Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Visio/Power BI products
