Acumentrics is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to play a key role in developing and maintaining quality control systems that ensure our products meet or exceed the rigorous standards set by our commercial and military customers. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will oversee the full spectrum of quality assurance, from supplier and component quality to incoming inspection, in-process monitoring, and final product quality.
Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in science, electrical, or mechanical engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, quality, and ERP systems
- Strong technical communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong leadership and management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required; ability to work well with all levels of employees and internal departments
- Experience developing projects using Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with quality standards and processes to follow federal, state and local regulations, and health and safety standards
- Familiar with Net Inspect, Exostar and other military supplier E-tools
- Analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, such as 8D
- ISO Certified, AS9100 certification, Green Belt, or Black Belt certifications a plus
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software preferred
- Working knowledge of MS Office software; proficient in Excel
- Read and interpret blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience with military customers a plus

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Job Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the quality control plans for all new product development and released programs
- Manage customer performance process to ensure supplier score cards are maintained, accurate, SCARs are assigned, and corrective actions are followed through in a timely manner
- Manage supplier performance process to ensure supplier score cards are maintained, SCARs are assigned, and corrective actions are followed through in a timely manner
- Lead MRB team to ensure proper dispositions of non-conformances
- Support and manage the supplier qualification process for all new and existing suppliers
- Manage the supplier PPAP (parts approval) process for parts and product
- Provide inspections, test results, and AS9102 documentation packages for source inspections and first article packages for customers
- Arrange and manage source inspections
- Conduct internal, vendor, and process audits
- Provide data analysis and SPC for root cause problem solving activities to continuously improve yields
- Execute and improve quality improvement policies and procedures
- Maintain current knowledge of ISO and regulatory requirements
- Provide process reports to the operations team
- Lead First Article inspections for new parts and suppliers; develop and manage incoming inspection plans
