We (the Cloudera Corporate IT department) are looking for a Desktop Support Technician to join our corporate IT support team.


A Day in the Life:


You must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment and remain flexible as the needs of the business change. Our department places a high value on customer satisfaction so you must be willing to go the extra mile to delight our fellow co-workers so they can function at their highest level. As Cloudera adopts new technology, you will be called upon to provide training so you must be comfortable standing up in front of a group of coworkers and explain technology in a clear and simple manner. You must also be able to work independently with minimal follow-up, be accountable and take pride in your work. This position reports to the IT Services Manager in Budapest, Hungary.


As a Desktop Support Technician you will…

  • Provide IT Support in a mixed Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows 10 and Linux environment

  • Manage the new hire onboarding process: set-up accounts and equipment for new employees and provide user training

  • Manage the IT Helpdesk ticket queue using JIRA Service Desk

  • Administer Google Workspace, Okta, Microsoft Active Directory, and other corporate platforms

  • Provide meeting, A/V and VoIP support

  • Document and update IT processes, while trying to find holes in them

  • Have familiarity with using a ticketing system to manage and solve IT issues (JIRA preferred)

  • Manage our local and remote printers

  • Support iOS and Android devices


We are excited about you if you have…

  • 0-2 years of Desktop Support in a Mac/Windows environment (we are 75% Mac)

  • Some experience using an MDM solution - preferably JAMF and/or Airwatch

  • Knowledge in anti-virus/malware solutions

  • Familiarity with video conferencing tools (Zoom & Hangouts Meet Preferred)

  • Strong customer service skills and great attention to detail

  • Ability to excel in a high growth, team focused company with minimal day to day supervision

  • BS in a technical major preferred
