ML Engineer (Finance project)

About project

We’re building an AI-powered support chatbot for a fast-growing retail investment platform popular in the DACH region (a competitor to Interactive Brokers or TradeRepublic). The goal is to reduce the load on human support by automatically handling the most common user questions and requests. This will allow the platform to scale its customer support without growing the team proportionally.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Build and improve LLM-based dialogue system to understand and respond to user queries

• Design business logic and response flows to automate user conversations

• Develop and test personalization features to adapt responses per user context

• Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience with Python

• 3+ years of experience in Machine Learning / NLP

• Strong hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, etc.)

• Solid Python backend skills (e.g., FastAPI)

• Experience with vector databases (Qdrant, FAISS, Pinecone, etc.)

• Comfortable working in an agile team and communicating directly with stakeholders

• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher. German is a plus.
