Job Description
The Global Supervisor of Vendor Management is part of the Global Vendor Management (VM) team within Business Information & Analytics (BIA). This role is part of an outsourced team for an investment banking client of RRD.
This position provides strategic oversight of a team of 4+ individuals in New York City and Phoenix, and indirect oversight of 14+ individuals in Chennai, India. The Supervisor will assist in all areas of the acquisition and management of third-party information resources in support of our client’s Investment Banking division and other departments, including:
- Publications & subscriptions, including e-journals
- Databases
- Contracts
- Ad-hoc purchases
Responsibilities:
- Drive efficiency while reducing overall spend on information resources
- Ensure compliance with the terms & conditions of subscription agreements
- Provide management, coordination, and leadership for the Vendor Management team
- North America team – direct leadership
- Chennai team – indirect leadership
- Provide a single point of contact to direct all communication and feedback, including issue resolution and changes to requirements
- Continually analyze team performance. When appropriate, propose and execute improvements to achieve desired outputs in a timely manner
- Conduct regular meetings with the client to provide updates and drive proactive communication
- Collaborate with global Vendor Management teams to increase efficiency and consistency
- Ensure team adheres to target Service-Level Agreement metrics
- Ensure timely execution of subscription and entitlement requests from the client
- Ensure accurate billing to cost centers, job numbers, and employees
- Oversight and contribution to the maintenance of accurate associated documentation for every contract
- Ensure accurate and timely capture of user inventory and costs within Inventory and Expense Management database (Optimize Spend)
- Coordinate login creation with vendors for clients’ access to third-party information resources
- Oversee end-to-end processing of invoices
- Liaise with BIA Sourcing on upcoming renewals and new contracts
- Liaise with the BIA research teams on data/product strategy and selection, vendor related issues and processes, including reporting
- Demonstrate an awareness of IP (Copyright) law and understand its impact on Vendor Management
- Coordinate and complete special assignments from senior management
- Ensure documentation for Vendor Management team policy and procedures is kept current
- Offer mentorship and team building activities / programs to boost employee morale
- Provide performance reviews, goals setting and professional development programs for the team
- Complete general administrative tasks such as managing time-off and coverage

Experience
- Bachelor's degree in area of business preferred
- 5+ years of relatable experience
- Knowledge of business planning, and ability to build strong, cohesive, and high-performing teams
- Financial Services industry experience is preferred
- Knowledge of Optimize Spend or similar inventory management systems is preferred
- Experience with multi-industry databases and/or Publications & Subscriptions is preferred
- Experience working in research, especially generic research and knowledge of associated products is preferred

The national pay range for this role is $62,100 to $109,200 annually. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. Th
