Anderson Auto is looking for a part-time cashier/receptionist to join our team. The cashier/receptionist is responsible for helping customers, clerical, and receptionist tasks. This is an important job that directly contributes to the success of business operations.
Required Education/Skills/Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Administrative experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Basic knowledge of computers, printers, monitors, etc.

Qualifications
Summary/Objective
The Receptionist/Cashier will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate personnel as well as providing general dealership support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The Receptionist/Cashier receives cash from customers and employees in payment for goods and services and records the amount received in an accurate manner.
Essential Functions
- Answers telephone and directs the caller to appropriate personnel.
- Greets and directs visitors.
- Assists with keeping customer areas neat and presentable.
- Assists Customer Relations Manager with a variety of tasks.
- Assists with other related clerical duties as needed.
- Ensure that each guest receives outstanding customer service by providing a guest friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest.
- Represents the dealership in a friendly and professional manner.
- Receives cash, checks and credit card payments from customers and records the amount received on the repair order and/or the counter ticket.
- Ensures the repair order numbers are written on each credit card payment slip.
- Ensures that all forms of payment are processed according to dealership guidelines.
- Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers.
- Have every repair order signed by the customer at the time of payment.
- Manage dealer plates and maintain accurate logs for reporting.
- Reconcile daily cash log and invoices. Ensure complete and accurate deposit packets are delivered to the business office daily.
- Business management should be notified of any customer pay repair orders and counter tickets left unpaid at the end of the second day of the repair order date.
- Work with department managers to keep abreast of new products and services offered and any changes in price.
- Refer customers who have additional questions to the Service Advisor or other appropriate personnel.
- Handle customer complaints with integrity and poise and take or refer the customer to the appropriate individual for further communication.
- Give cash refunds accurately to customers for approved returned merchandise.
- Collect required docs, manage schedule, post rentals & payments.
- Assists in managing the rental/courtesy inventory.
