About the Team
The TikTok Music Recommendation Team is dedicated to leveraging recommendation-related technologies to continually enhance the music ecosystem of the TikTok and TikTok Music. At the user level, we assist listeners in discovering, enjoying, and utilizing music for video creation through personalized recommendation algorithms. At the musical level, we influence and guide music trends by developing promotional tools and refining promotional strategies, thereby amplifying TikTok and TikTok Music's influence within the music industry.

Responsibilities
- Understand machine learning techniques and business objectives, end-to-end own recommendation system and responsible for user can better discover and consume music in TikTok.
- Build industry leading recommendation systems for providing accurate music recommendations and high-quality music experience during the user's creation process, improving user's creative experience.
- Focus on building algorithms for music promotion, guiding music trends and amplifying TikTok Music's influence within the music industry.
- Run experiments to test the performance of deployed models, and identifies and resolves bugs that arise in the process.
- Work together with cross functional teams, such as product managers and data analysts, to grow TikTok Muisc business.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above majoring in Computer Science, or related fields.
- Strong coding skills in at least one of the following programming languages, e.g. Python, Java, C/C++, etc.
- Able to break down and solve problems independently with good teamwork and a passion for tackling challenging problems
- Excellent business sense and communication skills, able to work with PM to promote business development

Preferred Qualifications
-3 years relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, recommendation systems or other related areas, with solid experience with data structures and algorithms.
-Familiar with the training and deployment of one or more framework models of TensorFlow/PyTorch/MXNet.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $194000 - $355000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
