About the role

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Vice President, Demand Generation is responsible for architecting and driving VelocityEHS’s demand generation strategy to achieve measurable pipeline and revenue growth. Your primary responsibility will be to design and execute scalable, data-driven marketing initiatives that fuel mid-market and enterprise success while fostering alignment between marketing and sales.

You will lead a high-performing team, optimize lead management processes, and instill a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. By leveraging advanced tools and analytics, you will ensure the organization harnesses the full potential of modern demand generation strategies. In addition, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align VelocityEHS’s marketing efforts with its broader growth objectives.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a scalable demand generation strategy focused on mid-market and enterprise segments, optimizing channels like SEM, webinars, and content marketing.
  • Assess, structure, and lead a team of marketers, providing mentorship and driving high performance across partner marketing, SEM, email, and webinars.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to redefine lead flow processes, improve lead scoring, and optimize funnel conversion rates.
  • Own marketing-attributed pipeline goals, leveraging advanced analytics and reporting to provide visibility into campaign performance and ROI.
  • Collaborate with the CMO and marketing peers to align demand generation initiatives with overarching go-to-market strategies, ensuring consistency in messaging and execution.
  • Evaluate and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources to maximize impact across key channels.
  • Introduce innovative approaches leveraging AI and automation to enhance speed and efficiency.
  • Strengthen cross-functional relationships with sales, product, and marketing operations to ensure alignment on revenue goals.

Minimum Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience
  • Proven experience in a global B2B SaaS organization with expertise in building and optimizing demand generation and go-to-market strategies.
  • A track record of driving marketing-attributed revenue within a growing SaaS organization, showcasing the ability to excel during pivotal growth phases.
  • Demonstrated ability to meticulously track and optimize the lead funnel, ensuring a data-driven approach to marketing decision-making.
  • Proficient in improving marketing investments by developing reporting systems that provide clear visibility into performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of marketing technologies and tools, including marketing automation platforms, ABM platforms, analytical tools, and CRM systems.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar marketing budgets that deliver measurable ROI.
  • Proven ability to assess and optimize team structures, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering high performance.
  • Skilled in aligning marketing and sales functions to improve collaboration, optimize lead flow processes, and enhance funnel conversion rates.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading comprehensive marketing planning cycles, including strategy development and budget allocation.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate cross functionally to achieve shared goals.
  • An influential leader who can inspire confidence in the marketing team’s ability to deliver results.

    transformation

VelocityEHS is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices by offering market-based salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is between $185,000 and $290,000 USD (United States). We aim to hire between the minimum and midpoint of the salary range and offers at the maximum of the range are uncommon. The final offered salary will be based on candidate’s proficiency in skill set, prior relevant experience, internal equity, market considerations, and other factors.
