Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

• Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate the nursing care provided for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school age, and adolescents

• Professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients, for a designated time frame, and provides quality care to these patients

• Complete pre-surgical tasks, including, but not limited to, health history, surgical clearances, and communication with anesthesia team

• Communicate with patients and families by responding to voicemails and patient portal messages

• All other responsibilities as assigned at the discretion of the manager

• Flexibility in work hours (20 hours per week total - days and times may be adjusted based on team needs)

• Ability to work 100% of the time on site

Required Skills/Abilities

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required

• Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas

• 1 or more years of experience as an RN required

• Pediatric nursing experience preferred

• American Heart Association BLS certification required

• American Heart Association PALS certification required, or within 6 months of hire.

• Demonstrate advanced and mature critical thinking and assessment skills
