Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Benefits Administrator for a contract role, focused on managing US benefits administration. This role includes day-to-day tasks and leading the 2027 Open Enrollment, ensuring seamless administration and compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Administer day-to-day US benefits operations, including leading the 2027 Open Enrollment process.
- Support Leave of Absence (LOA) tracking and administration in compliance with NJ and NY requirements.
- Respond to employee benefits inquiries, escalating complex issues as necessary.
- Resolve eligibility and enrollment discrepancies with vendors.
- Maintain accurate records across HRIS and vendor systems.
- Address employee inquiries related to the 401(k) plan, covering eligibility, enrollment, and general plan information.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports, such as enrollment, eligibility, and headcount.
- Track and document outstanding items to ensure timely resolution.
- Liaise with brokers and insurance carriers to resolve issues, discrepancies, and data requests.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 6-8+ years of experience in benefits administration.
- Experience managing LOA programs, including knowledge of NJ and NY state leave requirements.
- Understanding of employer-sponsored 401(k) policies, procedures, and employer match.
- Experience supporting or coordinating health and wellbeing programs.
- Strong experience with benefits invoicing and billing.
- Familiarity with federal and state benefits regulations, including FMLA, ERISA, ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
