Technical Editor

We are looking for an experienced Tech Editor to join a weapons system cyber security team to develop, edit, and maintain documentation. The Tech Editor will perform all aspects of technical writing and editing for a variety of cyber security acquisition documents. This position requires on-site presence 4 days/week. In some situations, this may be reduced based on the document being worked.

Responsibilities: 

• Establish necessary accounts (e.g., Flank Speed, cNMCI, etc.)
• Locate templates and/or DIDs for various types of acquisition documents
• Develop templates
• Work with cyber security team (government and contractor) to solicit inputs, edit content, and submit for review

Requirements:

• United States Citizenship
• Final DoD Secret Clearance (at minimum)
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to review a document and immediately notice inconsistencies in formatting
• The ability to see misspelled words without cueing such as that provided by MS Word
• Team player
  
  

Preferred Skills & Experience:  

• Experience with cyber security
  

Education:  A degree from an accredited college or university iis preferred but not required. Preference will be given to degreed candidates.

Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.  

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $71,000 - $88,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
