Integrate knowledge and apply conceptual frameworks integral to advanced health assessment and diagnosis in advanced nursing practice. Demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and accountability in complex decision making for individuals, groups, and/or families within the nurse practitioner scope of practice based on current research findings.Seminar: 3 hours per week. Clinical: 6 hours per week. Course for PHCNP students only. Prerequisite: NSG5370.

Requirements (Faculty):
Nurse Practitioner Diploma. Masters or Doctorate of Sciences in Nursing. license from CNO. Practicing 3-5 years as an NP in primary health care. Additional desirable qualifications: Experience in NP clinical supervision.
The candidate must also be available to teach the clinical portion of the course therefore, must apply on the two postings. Additional desirable qualifications: Expertise in teaching at Master's level. Experience in clinical supervision.

The theory portion includes the preparation of the course and invigilating the exam. The course content is online on the NP network. Seminars are fare-to-face on campus. Enrollments number may vary.
For continuity of the course, candidates selected for NSG5370 will be prioritized.
