Founded in 1973, the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University (BYU Law) has grown into one of the nation's leading law schools. The J. Reuben Clark Law Society is an international non-profit organization of attorneys and law students of faith, and is part of the J. Reuben Clark Law School.

 WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS POSITION

The Executive Director of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society (JRCLS) oversees the global operations and strategic direction of the Society. This role involves high-level leadership, global engagement, and active collaboration with senior Church leaders, legal professionals, and government officials around the world.

The Executive Director sets the tone for the organization, serving on the International Board, supervising all employees and volunteers, and directing the Law Society’s Management Team. The Executive Director ensures JRCLS remains aligned with its mission and complies with institutional and legal standards, including BYU’s Political Neutrality Policy and 501(c)(3) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategic Oversight

• Serve as Executive Director and International Board member; lead Board meetings and implement organizational vision and strategy.

• Oversee all internal structures: 23 global areas, attorney and student chapters, five international committees, Judges Section, Student Board, and Clark Society Advisors.

• Supervise and lead the Management Team and all employees, including the Associate Director.

Global Engagement and Advocacy

• Represent JRCLS at key events globally (Annual Conference, Area Conferences, Religious Liberty Fellowship, etc.).

• Meet with senior church leaders, government officials, and judges to promote the mission of the Society.

• Inspire legal professionals and students through public speaking and outreach efforts.

Policy Development and Communication

• Draft and update policies, training materials, and written comm
