Job Summary

PSEG is looking for a Summer 2026 IT Intern for the ADMS Grid Platform Management Team.

 

This job involves working as a(n) IT Intern maintaining the Advanced Distribution Management System, including SCADA, DMS/DERMS, and OMS. Will work with the team to develop and improve documentation for the processes done as well as developing architectural drawings for the system. Other will will involve developing methods to monitor and improve team workflows.

 

This position will be Hybrid Flexible.
 

Job Responsibilities

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

 

• Design and build big data pipelines for monitoring critical infrastructure
• Model data flows in a real-time industrial control system

Job Specific Qualifications

• The successful incumbent(s) must be actively pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited institution in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Egineering and graduating between December 2026 and May 2029.
• Students graduating in May/June 2026 are not eligible unless they are enrolling in a post-graduate degree program in the fall term of 2026.
• PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent.
• Incumbents must have completed sophomore level course work for consideration.
• Department of Energy’s regulation 10 CFR 810 is required 

Desired: 

• 3.0 GPA
• Knowledge in Python and/or PowerShell scripting
• Knowledge with PostgreSQL, MSSQL or equivalent
• Experience with data processing and analysis

 

All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Incumbents are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
