The Senior Director of Inline Portfolio Management US will be responsible for maintaining close collaboration and full alignment with US Commercial teams to translate Business Needs into Portfolio Strategy and actions. This responsibility is realized through three main work streams:
- Improve the Products’ value and competitiveness
- Improve Service to Customers by driving Operations towards strategic focus and priorities
- Improve Portfolio footprint on the one hand by eliminating products that are no longer relevant and on the other hand by supporting gap fill
Major Accountabilities
Lead the identification of new product optimization opportunities for the US and manage the cross-functional comprehensive evaluation of these optimization opportunities in close alignment with Commercial, Procurement and Operations teams. Understand commercial market strategies and business criticalities and drive and monitor project decisions as well as routinely report on the impact of these decisions throughout the project lifecycle. Actively monitor the risk for top Commercial products and design and implement strategies to prolong product life cycle and mitigate supply and profitability risk. Collaborate within the Global Inline Portfolio Team with other regions and global representatives to share product optimization opportunities including ViP products and collaborate closely to maximize the value of global portfolio across all markets. Monitor product strategies in other regions and ensure leverage to US commercially relevant.
Manage the cross-functional Portfolio Forum to create transparency and maintain open dialog on product supply and profitability issues with a focus on risk mitigation and resolution of bottlenecks. Thoroughly evaluate product exit decisions arising from profitability, supply or market related factors and record and report on all these decisions
Adjudicate allocation of capacity for US products under constraints balancing the commercial needs of the local markets with the Global impact. Collaborate on Network Strategy, Alliance Improvement, BD and licensing and several other cross-functional objectives and forums.
Qualifications
Education:
University Degree in Business / Pharmacy / Sciences
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry
- preferable in the field of Sales and Marketing US Generics, Operations or a comparable function.
- Strong understanding of product costs, commercial P&L.
- Strong operations experience preferable with supply chain management exposure.
- Strong project management capabilities.
