Pacific Clinic's School-Based Intervention Team (SBIT) serves children, adolescents, families, adults, and educators across California. We offer a wide range of tiered mental and behavioral health services focusing on partnering with local county offices of education and school districts.

About our Program:  

Pacific Clinics' School-Based Intervention Teams (SBIT) provide tiered behavioral health services across various locations (e.g., school sites, community, and via telehealth). SBIT services are delivered within a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), with a focus on Positive Behavioral Intervention Supports (PBIS), Wellness Center implementation, Social Emotional Learning, Restorative Practices, and various evidence-based practices to support Community School efforts.

JOB SUMMARY

  1. Works within the agency and program’s vision, mission philosophy, and policies in partnership with the Clinical Director. With general supervision, and in close coordination with management, provides clinical supervision as outlined under the Board of Behavioral Science Guidelines. 
  2. Under direct supervision from the Clinical Director, the Clinical Supervisor provides individual and group clinical supervision for master’s level staff in relation to their clinical treatment service delivery.
  3. The Clinical Supervisor also provides coaching in implementing behavioral and developmental treatments for individuals with developmental and behavioral health challenges. Responsible for ensuring that clients receive high-quality culturally and developmentally appropriate services.
  4. Only licensed mental health professionals may supervise ASW, MFT, or LPCCs trainees.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Provide direct individual/group clinical supervision to ASWs, Associate Professional Clinical Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) Trainees, or Associate MFTs who perform psychotherapy. 
  • Develop, train, evaluate, and coach to ensure quality of services provided by staff ensuring effective service delivery. 
  • Ensure that the amount and degree of clinical supervision is appropriate for each supervisee. 
  • Monitor and address clinical dynamics, including, but not limited to, countertransference, intrapsychic, interpersonal, or trauma-related issues that may affect the supervisory or practitioner-patient relationship.
  • Ensure the supervisee’s compliance with laws and regulations governing the practice of marriage and family therapy, clinical social work, or professional clinical counseling.
