Position Overview:

Designs, develops, validates, modifies and maintains training content, lesson plans and activities, manuals, self-study modules and supportive learning tools utilized in training classes by partnering with subject matter experts and identifying target audience training needs. Prepares and delivers online or classroom presentations, demonstrations, train-the-trainer and end-user classes on a variety of topics and technical application systems, and provides special training courses as needed. Designs and maintains the master patient build within the training environment in order to properly support training. Troubleshoots all training environment issues across Sutter Health and its regional affiliates.

EDUCATION:

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Learning Design, Education, Healthcare Management or other related field


TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

5 years of recent relevant experience.


SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Expert application of adult learning concepts and interpersonal skills while presenting to effectively manage class and guide end users to understanding.

Knowledge of healthcare workflows and healthcare application systems.

Effective and polished presentation skills, and training delivery skills; ability to prioritize focus on topics based on audience level and time allotted.

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.

Use basic English words and phrases to effectively and clearly organize and communicate thoughts, ideas and technical details in a concise manner easily understood by all audiences.

Make presentations to persuade others to accept a specific opinion or action, or to provide information and instruction.

Encourage individuals either in a one-to-one or small group situation in order to establish rapport and gain the trust of others or to listen perceptively and convey awareness.

Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with audiences across all areas and levels within Sutter Health as well as external organizations.

Foster a stimulating and accepting learning environment resulting in leading others to solve complex problems.

Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify patterns, tendencies, and relationships resulting in the formulation of logical and objective conclusions.

Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.

Focus on customer service that informs all actions and decisions.

Expert application of adult learning concepts and interpersonal skills designed to effectively manage classes and guide end-users to a formidable understanding of the subject matter.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Word and Excel.

Pay Range is $44.28 to $66.42 / hour. Idaho Pay Range is $35.43 to $53.14 / hour.

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package. ​
