Job Title: Senior Technologist

Alpha Omega is seeking a qualified senior technologist; a Sr. Developer and a hands-on architect all rolled into one – in short someone who is highly resourceful and is genuinely interested in technology.  We are looking for someone who can regularly consult with projects and fulfill their unique needs while also continually evaluating new technologies and developing solutions.  Many of our successful technologists are team players and a self-starters who have fostered collaborative environment, and we would like the new technologist to continue the tradition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support IT projects(s) within Federal government as an Architect and a Technology Consultant - this includes but not limited to delivering project requirements as a Cloud Engineer, providing architecture support, developing prototypes, developing solution presentations, and evaluating a platform.
• Provide solutioning and sales support for growth initiatives within the cloud and application modernization domain.
• Develop prototypes, write white papers, prepare presentations and give industry talks to market company’s security capabilities
• Participate in the government proposal development and solutioning process
• Formulate partnerships with key companies to pursue related opportunities
• Attend industry/community events to increase awareness of Alpha Omega’s capabilities
• Provide delivery and transition support to newly won contracts until full time resources are identified
• Maintain acute awareness of market and industry trends
• Hands on delivery work as needed

Required Qualifications:

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or a similar program
• At least one Cloud certification (either in AWS, Azure or GCP) that above basic level – i.e. AWS practitioner or Azure Foundation certifications are not applicable.

 Experience/Skills:

• At least (12) twelve years’ experience in delivering IT services and modernization using typical tech stacks (legacy to modern)
• At least (4) four years of experience developing and configuring public cloud services (AWS etc.)
• Must have hands on development experience on contemporary full stack technologies stacks such as Java, .NET, NodeJs, Angular, ReactJS, Vue
• Strong understanding of Cloud platforms and offerings (especially Containers and serverless)
• Good knowledge of working of Oracle, SQL and Postgres database and experience designing database schemas for cloud
• Knowledge and understanding of Design and Architecture patterns
• Must understand basic design principles of infrastructure, applications, monitoring and visibility

• Knowledge and experience with Agile processes and DevSecOps engineering.

• The ability to travel between locations, mostly within Washington DC Metro area, as needed.
• Must be a U.S Citizen and be able to get security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Technical Challenges, Hackathons and managing required MVP deliverables
• Experience working with emerging AI technologies including LLM, Agentic AI, Cloud based AI services and Predictive Analytics
• Experience in large data management and analytics

Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $200,000 – $250,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
