General position summary:
Communicate with customers and vendors in order to monitor flow of shipment movement while providing excellent customer service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate and respond in a timely, professional and courteous manner to all customer inquiries
- Communicate effectively and clearly with all customers, government agencies, and partners
- Effectively handle a high volume of incoming calls and written communications
- Provide accurate and complete information to customers
- Maintain accurate records by documenting all customer interactions into core computer system
- Coordinate offsite services with local agencies in various markets as needed
- Prioritize workload to meet required deadlines
- Build sustainable relationships of trust through open, honest, and interactive communication
- Ability to work overtime
Job Skills Required:
- A minimum of 2 years face-to-face or telephonic customer service experience in a metric driven organization required
- Military and/or transportation industries experience preferred
- Experience in a multi-dimensional role where customer contact is both written and verbal
- Excellent verbal and written customer service and communication skills
- Exceptional ability to identify, analyze, and creatively solve problems
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
- Ability to diffuse confrontation and create a win-win outcome
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Ability to respond professionally and effectively to a wide variety of customer personality types
- Self-motivated; works with urgency

Education & Experience:
- High School diploma required; 2 years plus experience in relocation or closely related customer service industry required; highly customer service oriented; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
