Supervisor, Production -3rd Shift

SUMMARY:
Our supervisors oversee activities of their production team, interact with peers across the entire operations team and develop processes and controls to ensure continuous improvement. Our supervisors have a direct impact on our safety, culture, workplace organization, internal and external quality, on-time delivery, productivity and inventory.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead all activities relating to production performance. Coordinate activities of production personnel and guide them in their development
- Continually improve safety record with a proactive approach to physical safety issues and employee safety behavior. Maintain and improve housekeeping in all areas
- Engage operators in the areas of problem solving, Lean initiatives, and collaborative learning
- Develop, implement, and maintain improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing processes
- Support compliance to our Management System and ISO certification requirements
- Mentor Team Leaders and associates in areas where development is needed
- Coordinate and actively support our local Warner Electric team, Altra business unit and corporate management initiatives

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE CREDENTIALS:
- BS degree in engineering, sciences, business or related field, preferred
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, TPS, 6 Sigma, or similar improvement methods, required
- 1+ years’ supervisory experience in a dynamic environment, required
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or related industry, preferred.
