Senior Java (Kotlin) Engineer (m/f/d)

 

Project Overview
You will be part of an agile infrastructure project which bundles network and security related topics on one platform. You will be involved within the different stages of the software development process to write and maintain meaningful code and within the conceptual and architecture phase of new features. By solving the diverse challenges, you can shape the essential infrastructure for the whole Schwarz Group.  

What You'll Do 

• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code following best practices 
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability 
• Optimize existing code and architecture is a core task 
• Work and collaborate closely with the scrum engineering team, product owner and other team members 
• Learn new technologies and programming languages is part of your daily routine 
• Write and maintain comprehensive documentation 

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of experience in software development in a productive enterprise environment 
• Deep knowledge in the development of Java including writing unit and integrations tests 
• Understanding of modern design pattern and proven experience of applying them 
• Expertise in developing and maintaining APIs based on Open API Specifications 
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills within cross-functional international teams with the ability to mentor junior level colleagues 
• Self-committed and quick familiarization with new innovative technologies 

What is Valuable

• Infrastructure Knowledge, explicitly in the context of network security or load balancing 
• Profound experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes 
• Relational and non-relational Database-Knowledge (MongoDB preferred) 
• Hands-on experience in Kotlin and Ktor
