Therapy Intern (Unpaid)

Description

 JOB SUMMARY:

The Therapy Intern will follow direction from the Internship Coordinator for Therapy as needed. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Opens and closes office daily following established procedures.
2. Receives phone calls, visitors, clients and guests and directs and refers them as appropriate; may provide new client information packets and collect completed forms.
3. Accesses the client database as necessary to provide accurate information to staff, clients and DHS workers.
4. Receives and enters all referral information and documents for Therapeutic Services into electronic health record. Referral information includes details of child abuse and neglect. Requests required paperwork and signatures specified in Parents Assistance Contract. 

Requirements

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma or GED. 
2. Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Social Work, Psychology, Family and Children Services, LSW, LCSW, LMSW, or another related field. 
3. Excellent research and writing skills.
4. Strong communication abilities.
5. Experience with Microsoft Office and Google platforms.
6. Strong time management and critical thinking skills.
7. Willing and able to take initiative as needed
