The Accounting team is currently seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & Reporting. The successful applicant will be responsible for many aspects of technical and operational accounting ranging from proper application of US GAAP to accounting transactions, as well as quarterly consolidated financial statements, in a fast-paced, non-traditional environment. You will work cross functionally with various teams, including FP&A, Global Purchasing & Supply Chain, and Real Estate. You will also be involved in the financial statement preparation, SOX compliance, and annual audits. We are looking for someone who has excellent problem-solving skills and enjoys working in a challenging and fast–paced environment to support our continued success.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Research and document technical accounting matters for a variety of new, complex or non-standard transactions, including revenue recognition, leases, incentive compensation, M&A, partnerships, investments, impairment reviews, tax accounting

  • Build scalable accounting processes to support growth

  • Develop and maintain up-to-date accounting policies and procedures

  • Review material contracts and document accounting impact

  • Partner with the Parent Company Technical Accounting team to ensure consistency with policies

  • Partner with accounting team to prepare draft financial statements, consolidation cash flow statements, footnotes and MD&A, and completing GAAP disclosure checklists

  • Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Ensure timely completion and review of all assigned general ledger account reconciliations

  • Assist in coordinating the annual consolidated and statutory audits with external auditors

  • Ad-hoc projects as necessary

What you must have:

  • BA in Accounting, CPA is a plus

  • 8 to 10 years of overall general accounting experience, Big 4 experience a plus

  • Ability to research complex accounting matters

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, written and verbal communication skills required

  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with individuals throughout the company

  • Must be a self-starter and team player and able to work in a fast pace and rapidly changing environment

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently

Bonus points!

  • CPA/CA

  • Quick learner, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Experience with the AV industry

  • Experience working with IFRS or other non-US GAAP requirements

The salary range for this position is $129,200 - 190,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
