Description
The Food Service Compliance Director is responsible for ensuring full compliance with USDA food program requirements across all Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County sites. This role involves overseeing the administration, implementation, and continual improvement of food service programs with a strong focus on regulatory adherence, program outcomes, and operational excellence. The Director serves as the primary liaison between the organization and USDA partners, and is accountable for all documentation, reporting, audits, training, and program compliance activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
USDA Administration:
- Complete all administrative documentation internally
- Act as the USDA liaison with all sites
- Design and implement training for employees to meet USDA requirements
- Represent BGCGTC during monitoring visits and audits
- Review and process all USDA-related invoices
- Coordinate and/or complete all data entry, including but not limited to meal counts and menu
- Completes all administrative duties on time
Program Outcomes:
- Responsible for submitting USDA claims and developing outcome measurements
- Responsible for data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Responsible for meeting all USDA requirements and deliverables
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to program standards
- Develop and implement programmatic interventions related to BDK and healthy eating initiatives
- Oversee daily operations of the program in different site locations, ensuring a clean
Administrative Compliance:
- Complete all required reports and administrative duties on time.
- Collect and manage required data and internal and external reporting. Ensure the accuracy of data and reporting. Ensure the effective completion of all assessment and measurement activities
- Comply with all administrative policies and procedures, processes, and controls
- Accountable for accurate and timely paperwork, reports, and data entry
- Accountable for utilizing all BGCGTC communication tools regularly and effectively
- Onboard all new program sites and ensure all compliance protocols are standardized and met
Facility & Child Safety:
- Accountable for adherence to all organizational health and safety policies and implementation of all safety practices and procedures at assigned work location(s)
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect members, staff, equipment, materials, and facilities. Abide by facility maintenance protocols and procedures to ensure compliance
- Accountable for reporting incidents and completing documentation within the required timeline
- Maintain discipline and de-escalate conflict between members and/or others
- Obtain and renew CPR and First Aid certification by the deadline
Relationships & Community Engagement:
- Be a positive role model
- Promote the feeding program within the community to increase participation and awareness
- Maintain emotional control and make good decisions under pressure
- Represent the Boys & Girls Club in a positive manner
- Assist with the recruitment and management of volunteers assigned to the BDK program
- Collaborate with local organizations to enhance program outreach and support
Attendance:
- Regular attendance is required; arrive on time; punctuality is required
NONESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Complete all other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent related experience
- Experience in food program administration, food service management, or a related area
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Experience with grant management and fiscal responsibility
Minimum Qualifications Requirements:
- Ability to work regular program hours (may require working extended hours to meet deadlines)
- Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends
- Ability to mentor and coach personnel to success
- Ability to examine & evaluate conformity with laws and regulations governing contract compliance.
- Ability to perform compliance and enforcement inspections.
- Ability to plan, lead, and shape change and growth at the branch level, resulting in tangible progress toward goals
