Summary
The Molecular & Human Genetics division is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Business Operations that will support the day-to-day lab operations such as travel, calendaring and reimbursements. This role will include monitoring grant budgets and assisting with progress reports, sub-awards, and various other compliances. This position will be dealing with two departments, Genetics and Psychiatry. Candidates should possess good reading, writing, and organizational skills and the ability to analyze and problem solve in a fast-paced work environment. Some knowledge of BCM and federal and state grant policies and procedures is helpful.

Job Duties
- Processes travel requests and reimbursements through Concur and process all orders.
- Reviews cost distributions of faculty and lab staff to ensure personnel effort are appropriately sourced on sponsored programs.
- Processes, prepares, reports, tracks, and ensures compliance on a variety of pre-award and post-award transactions.
- Reviews, submits, and tracks budget and administrative sections of grant applications and progress reports using internal and external sites and databases.
- Assists with ordering of lab equipment, office supplies, creating budgeting and expense reports, and other financial documents in SAP and Concur.
- Attends weekly office meetings and monthly/quarterly workshops.
- Monitors office email, assists with scheduling, and ensures communications are responded to in a timely manner.
- Works with MH Genetics HR and Finance teams to submit position requests and monitor grant accounts.
- Assists faculty members with preparing budgets for grant submissions as well as the administrative portion of the grant application.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Research administrative work experience in an academic research setting.
- Some financial knowledge.
