About the role
Description
Hand-on technical resource along side Depatie engineering with primary responsibility to provide engineering capability to the manufacturing process. This role will also serve in other technical capacities in support of the business success of the company.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Manufacturing Support and Development:
- Lead continuous improvement project from concept through implementation with mentorship from senior engineers
- Develop new mechanical designs through analysis, troubleshooting, and review
- Work directly with automated and manual fixture development, support, documentation, calibration and maintenance.
- Participate in pilot production builds and equipment validation by generating and executing equipment validation plans following an APQP process
- Perform data analysis of production and prototype data using statistical techniques for determining quality of process changes
- Drawing creation including 2D and 3D CAD (Solidworks)
- Work with operations, quality, supply chain, and engineering team on new manufacturing process layouts utilizing lean principles
- Create formal engineering documentation in response to proposed changes, including Work Instructions, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs), and Control PlansAssist with new product development activities including prototype builds or Design for Manufacturing Assessments (DFMA)
Qualifications:
- Verbal and written communication skills (English Required).
- Enrolled in Engineering or Related Degree Program
- Personable and Professional Attitude
- Interest in hands-on problem solving and learning
