Job Description
Position Overview
Avery Dennison is seeking a Regional Account Manager to join the Performance Polymers organization. In this role, the successful candidate will deliver profitable, double-digit revenue growth at key regional and national accounts in North America. This person is responsible for developing customer account plans, cultivating customer relationships, new opportunity identification, and coordination of customer facing company resources to commercialize new innovative products. This person will also lead the region’s creation and implementation of strategy and business development efforts. The role will be a key member of the digital marketing team.
Critical Objectives & Outcomes
- Deliver profitable, double-digit revenue growth at key regional and national accounts.
- Responsible for the customer relationships and all related account activities.
- Uncover and assess customer needs and develop a plan to execute mutual value creation.
- Provide product recommendations, samples, technical support, pricing and service information on demand.
- Provide product quotes and actively use value-selling tools and skills. Establish pricing programs and strategies that grow volume and improve profitability.
- Collaborate and develop positive relationships with Customer Service, Technical Service, Product Management, Operations and other Sales Team members to deliver outstanding service and products to customers.
- Work with Product Management to plan and implement product line programs including new product launches/commercialization and customer support.
- Collaborate with other business units to evaluate volume, identify trends, ensure quality, and monitor budgets.
Qualifications
Requirements and Prior Experience
- Proven self-starter eager to uncover and close business growth opportunities.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 6+ years applicable sales or related experience.
- Proven negotiation skills/experience and demonstrated track record of sales growth and success.
- Excellent financial skills and business acumen.
- Skilled in communicating effectively with all levels of management on complex business issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communications.
- Knowledgeable in pressure sensitive adhesives, coating and processing technologies preferred.
Understanding of applicable computer systems, such as Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Salesforce.com and other function specific software.
