What You Can Expect
As Head of Consolidation, you will lead the Northam consolidation team in the monthly and quarterly US GAAP and IFRS closing and reporting processes for ENGIE’s US and Canadian entities. In this role, you will also supports the Global Business Services (“GBS”) project accounting team in consolidations mechanics and account selection and supports the Financial Planning and Analysis (“FP&A”) team’s budget processes. The Director also manages certain cross-functional support activities. The consolidations team is currently comprised of three (3) individuals, and the director has three direct reports. In this role, you will collaborate with the ENGIE Group teams in Paris and Northam teams primarily located in Houston and Chicago. While leading the Northam Consolidations team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders including the ENGIE Group Consolidation team, Group and Northam FP&A, the Northam GBS Accounting team, and the following Northam Regional Services Technical teams, Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Insurance, and AIFA investments valuations. You will be a key member working extensively throughout the Northam Finance function and you will work extensively with external auditors validating ENGIE’s accounts. This position, based in Houston, TX, reports to the Vice President of FP&A.
- Manage and develop your team’s skills in line with ENGIE's Ways of Working policy, ensuring alignment with company standards.
- Lead and ensure accuracy of financial data through consolidation processes, coordinating with the GBS-Masterdata Team to manage the BFC-Cartesis database and supporting the Northam Finance Team with IFRS and US GAAP audit requests
- Support financial reporting by helping Northam finance teams understand IFRS and US GAAP treatments of transactions, and by providing data for goodwill impairment testing and asset valuations.
- Drive cross-functional projects with FP&A, including IT tool development, process design, and delivering ad hoc performance reporting and analysis to senior management.
What You’ll Bring

You hold a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Financial Analysis
- You are highly knowledgeable in consolidation and accounting, with a preference for holding a CPA license and having prior experience in external “Big Four” audit
- You have proven project management skills, capable of coordinating across organizations and delivering results on time
- You are knowledgeable in SAP solutions (S4, SAC, BFC, Cartesis), Microsoft Excel, and/or Power BI, essential for managing complex financial systems
- You are proficient in handling multiple assignments with a high degree of accuracy, prioritizing internal customer satisfaction, and providing data-driven decision-making support to senior management
- You are self-motivated, with strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, able to work effectively in time-sensitive environments, including outside of usual US business hours
Additional Details
- This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy which requires on average a minimum of 3 days per week working physically at an ENGIE office
- Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies
- Must be available to travel Internationally up to 5% of the time
