As our Accounting Manager, you’ll report directly to the Controller and lead a talented team of accounting specialists. You’ll play a key role in overseeing and refining accounting processes, applying your deep understanding of accounting principles, and driving efficiency across the board. Your strong analytical skills, leadership ability, and focus on results will help elevate the team and ensure the highest standard of financial accuracy and performance.

  • Partner with the Controller to implement and enhance accounting practices, systems, and tools that drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
  • Act as the primary liaison for Accounts Receivable (AR) inquiries from Members and internal departments.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely posting of all electronic payments from various sources into the AR system.
  • Oversee the setup, communication, and documentation of Member accounts within the AR and Patronage systems; provide regular reporting to the Board of Directors.
  • Calculate, report, and archive Patronage rebate payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the management of the accounting department to maintain the financial health and integrity of the organization.
  • Facilitate clear and professional communication with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders regarding accounting-related matters.
  • Lead and manage the AR and Credit departments, providing strategic direction, coaching, and performance oversight.
  • Prepare complex month-end journal entries and perform comprehensive account reconciliations.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and support monthly forecasting activities in coordination with the Controller and FP&A Manager.
  • Participate in key company and departmental initiatives, ensuring accurate and timely project execution.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and support all aspects of the year-end audit process.
  • Provide support for external audits and regulatory compliance reviews as required.
  • Oversee general ledger activities related to AR, ensuring timely and accurate completion of reconciliations.
  • Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to support exceptional customer service and operational alignment.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, focusing on quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

What We’re Looking For: You’re a dynamic leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution. You bring a proactive mindset, a passion for process improvement, and a talent for mentoring teams. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get into the details—while keeping the big picture in sharp focus:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience in a mid-to-large organization ($100M+ in annual revenue).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systemsNetSuite experience is a big plus.
  • A solid command of GAAP and a proven ability to prepare complete, accurate financial statements.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Even better if you also have:

  • CPA or CMA certification (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with ERP implementations or migrations—especially NetSuite
  • Familiarity with corporate tax filings and audit processes
  • Knowledge of treasury management systems
