Responsibilities

• Ensures food preparation is in accordance with planned menus and in sufficient quantities
• Ensures food is properly stored and the proper temperature is maintained in hot and cold food items
• Inspects work areas daily to ensure they are kept well organized and clean including store room, refrigerators, freezers, service areas and dining rooms
• Ensures food is handled in a sanitary manner, including receipt, preparation, and storage, including checking food temperature log daily to ensure appropriate temperature is maintained and logged in accordance with health regulations
• Check equipment daily to ensure proper cleanliness and sanitation techniques are followed
• Assist Supervisor with ordering, stocking, and inventory as needed
• As needed, wash dishes, sweep and mop floors, remove trash, clean and sanitize tables and service areas
• Serve meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring that dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
• Engage with residents during mealtimes to foster a welcoming and friendly dining environment.
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of dining areas, including washing dishes and maintaining cleanliness.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to understand daily menus and any special dietary needs of residents.
• Report any resident concerns or feedback regarding meals to the dietary manager for continuous improvement.
• Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

• ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain
• High School Diploma
• Valid State Driver’s License
