NFT - Performance Test Lead

Overview

The role of a NFT-Performance Test Lead is to effectively lead Non-Functional testing and be accountable for any NFT-related activity for projects. Manage both current projects and future projects. Feed into centralised projects review meetings to update stakeholders on status of projects.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the requirement sessions and estimations with projects 
• Review the project deliverables and project status regularly
• Contribute to daily stand ups and weekly retrospectives 
• Develop and maintain test schedules and manage resourcing
• Manage project risks
• Provide weekly reports and project closure reports
• Manage end-to-end NFT test delivery
• Liaise with Senior Management and Project Team to ensure business standards and frameworks are enforced
• Provide mentoring, coaching and operational support to team
• Issue and escalation management
• Delivery of test metrics, KPIs and continuous improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
• Additional course or certification in Quality Engineering

Desirable:

• Certification in NFT such as LoadRunner, MSVS, IAAP, OSCP, CREST, etc
• DORA knowledge/expertise (DCCS)

Essential skills

• Tools expertise, such as LoadRunner, JMeter, Neoload, Zap, Fortify, JAWS, Axe, BrowserStack or other relevant tools, along with knowledge of automation frameworks.beneficial
• Ability to deliver quality documentation & reports – status reports, test plans, test cases, bug tracking reports, risk assessment and root cause analysis reports
• Knowledge of systems under test, such as SAP, Oracle, O365, WebSphere, WebLogic and Web Services (REST)
• Ability to understand how a client’s technical stack is implemented (such as load balancer, routers, firewalls, cloud and containerisation, database, web and application servers)
• Excellent problem solving & organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work effectively with different people and teams of people
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining effectiveness and self-control
• Ability to identify and set priorities, plan, and effectively allocate appropriate resources

Desired skills

• Knowledge in testing other NFT areas, such as Resilience/Failover, Accessibility and Security
• Strong Team Lead skills and interpersonal skills
• Solid experience with ALM or Jira (creating test cases and raising defects)
• Ability to obtain detailed diagnostics at the application, middleware and database levels
• Solid time and stakeholder management, with the ability to prioritise tasks and communicate timely and concise status
• Ability to incorporate Non-Functional Test automation into DevOps pipelines
• Exposure to leadership skills in multi-vendor situations

Experience

• Experience providing leadership in managing E2E performance testing. along with other non-functional areas such as Accessibility, Resilience, or Security

• Multiple technical tools experience, with the ability to differentiate and select the right tool for the job based on requirements  

• Experience analysing performance test results in great detail, including interpreting application and system logs
• Experience testing in a Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Experienced with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SQL
