Intern - AI Governance (f/m/d)

Your area of work:

As an intern (f/m/d) you will support the team in the Chief Technology Officer area being part of the AI Center of Excellence.

The Chief Technology Officer area leads enterprise-wide technology initiatives, driving innovation and digital transformation to support business growth. The AI Center of Excellence is dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence initiatives, ensuring best practices and fostering innovation across the organisation. The team plays a pivotal role in shaping the company's future through enabling and governing cutting-edge digital solutions.

As an AI Governance intern, your core responsibility will be to support the development and implementation of policies and frameworks that ensure ethical, transparent, and compliant use of artificial intelligence within the organisation.

 

Your responsibilities:

• You will support the enhancement and maintenance of data within our central AI systems inventory, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• You will gain valuable insights into enterprise-wide AI initiatives and have the opportunity to engage directly with system owners.
• You will develop understanding of how AI use cases are documented and assessed, contributing to the identification of risk profiles for new AI implementations.
• You will assist the team by gathering and analysing data to support compliance with EU AI Act requirements.
• You take responsibility for preparing presentations and communications related to your work, including the opportunity to contribute to senior management reporting.
• You will have the chance to lead the implementation of AI use cases within the office environment, helping to optimise the overall process of AI use case management.

 

Your profile:

• You are enrolled during the entire period of activity at a state-recognized university as a regular student and have completed at least 4 semesters
  (Study focus in the field of informatics, mathematics, physics, economics, business studies, humanities or other relevant fields)
• Ideally, you have already gained first practical experience in the context of Artificial Intelligence (e.g. experience abroad, internships) and have foundational knowledge in AI concepts, data management, and digital systems
• You are interested in conducting research, synthesizing findings, and presenting actionable insights.
• Thanks to your excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and eagerness to collaborate, you integrate seamlessly into the team, quickly adapt to new responsibilities, and consistently deliver high-quality work with keen attention to detail.
• You have very good knowledge in MS Office,SharePoint. Experience with Jira is desired.
• You are fluent in written and spoken English
