JOB SUMMARY
Jabil is seeking an energetic Corporate Sustainability Intern to support our global environmental social and governance initiatives on the sustainability team within the company’s law department. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our team that is transforming business to create a more sustainable and resilient future for all. The role also includes assisting with preparing for compliance with new legal disclosure requirements. The intern will gain hands-on research, analysis, and presentation experience in a highly matrixed, large global tech company while also learning how businesses are taking action to improve their sustainability performance.
The typical duration for this paid summer intern role is from May 19th to August 8th.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures all of the project's requirements and/or objectives are correctly gathered, understood and properly translated for execution.
Assists in recognizing project's Key Performance Indicators and gathers information regarding scope, quality, time and cost constraints.
Identifies project risk reviews and appropriate mitigation.
Facilitates communication as appropriate to all stakeholders; develops research documents, excel spreadsheet analyses and powerpoint presentations, update SharePoint site sustainability communications and manage applicable Microsoft Teams sites. This includes escalating issues to the next level of management as needed.
Conducts desktop research and compose summaries, presentations, or write-ups for sustainability reporting
Coordinates tasks involved within project’s multi-functional teams to achieve company and customer overall project success; will involve occasional early- morning or evening meetings to accommodate teams in different time zones.
Understands and exceeds customer needs and expectations.
Gathers information for weekly communication forum for the exchange of ideas and information for projects including project status, resolving project issues, problems, and changes.
Organizes verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.
Responds in a timely fashion to common inquiries from internal personnel.
Adheres to all environmental, safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
Complies with and follows all procedures within the company security policy.
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Ability to understand (and strong interest in) Jabil’s core business and the social issues we are seeking to impact
- Ability to recognize opportunities to create positive environmental and social impact while supporting business objectives
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to self-manage and work effectively in a remote or workplace environment.
