2027 Summer Internship – US Trade Floor Operations Analyst (Cash Desk, Middle Office, Investment Operations)
Internship positions are located at PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters
You’re eligible to apply if you:
Pursuing an undergraduate degree
Must be able to begin full time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028
Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027)
Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university
Are business proficient in English
You’ll excel in this program if you:
Demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel skills and/or Python, SQL, VBA
Show a strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, investment finance, and the investment trade lifecycle
Possess outstanding analytical skills with the ability to function efficiently and problem-solve in a fast paced and time-critical environment
Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across complex financial, operational, and technical environments.
Demonstrate acute attention to detail and can manage multiple competing priorities with appropriate independence and judgment
Demonstrate accountability, resilience, adaptability, intellectual curiosity, and a continuous improvement mindset
Show the following traits: assertiveness, ethical, collaborative, organized, flexible, high energy, self-starter, accountable, humble
Can operate effectively when priorities or the path forward are not fully defined
Have completed finance, fixed income, data analytics, and/or capital markets coursework (recommended)
Demonstrate curiosity and experience in using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes
