2025 CP Intern- This position is for an intern who will be entering their Junior or Senior year by the start of summer 2025.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Intern with a focus on developing complex systems in C/C++ and Java. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-performance applications and will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle. You will work onsite in Portsmouth, Rhode Island as part of the Maritime Systems & Platforms department.

What you will do:

• Linux and C/C++ development
• Developing and performing test procedures
• Collaboration with development team 

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Must be pursuing a BS (or higher) degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate standing level by the start of Summer 2025.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.:

• Experience using Visual Studio or other IDE
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex software issues
• Quick learner and motivated
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
