Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Software Intern with a focus on developing complex systems in C/C++ and Java. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-performance applications and will be involved in all stages of the software development lifecycle. You will work onsite in Portsmouth, Rhode Island as part of the Maritime Systems & Platforms department.
What you will do:
- Linux and C/C++ development
- Developing and performing test procedures
- Collaboration with development team
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Must be pursuing a BS (or higher) degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Junior, Senior, or Post Graduate standing level by the start of Summer 2025.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.:
Qualifications We Prefer:
- 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Experience using Visual Studio or other IDE
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex software issues
- Quick learner and motivated
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.
