Applied Materials’ Research and Development department is searching for an intern to join our team in Spring 2024! Our R&D department is working on state-of-the-art implantation tools which are the backbone of the semiconductor industry. Through novel engineering we are advancing processes such as doping, and material modification. The position will entail the following:
- Assist with laboratory plating demonstrations, to include: tool preparation, processing wafers, measuring wafers, documentation.
- Lead small development projects involving wafer metrology
- Support process engineering through procurement, shipping, and inventory functions
Requirements
- Student must be pursuing a PhD degree program in Materials Science, or a related field
- Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
- Experience in semiconductor processing or manufacturing preferred
- Process Engineering experience especially related to semiconductor doping preferred
- Quick learner
Compensation
$42 - $44 per hour
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
