2024 Industrial Engineering Intern

V2X Aerospace Solutions is seeking an Industrial Engineering student to aid in developing plant layouts and manufacturing process designs for our facility production areas. The candidate must be able to develop technical solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. The candidate should also be able to support multiple projects, in a fast-paced team environment. NOTE: This position is on site daily.

Job responsibilities include:

• Work alongside an Industrial Engineer mentor to help to develop manufacturing floor layout designs using AutoCAD.
• Work on manufacturing improvement projects with cross functional teams to optimize production line manufacturing areas.
• Coordinate discussions with shop floor personnel to gather manufacturing process data to evaluate manufacturing processes and identify improvement opportunities.

Required Skills:

• Experience with AutoCAD software or equivalent software used to crease 2D layout drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to collect and analyze labor and schedule data for manufacturing processes.

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma. Actively pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering.
