Job Description:

A Market Research Analyst works as part of a team to provide expert, customized research and analysis company wide. The Analyst gathers, analyzes and delivers expert information on a variety of subjects, people, or companies in response to on-demand requests.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Conducts high-level, customizable research and analysis in legal, business, and other subjects to support the firm’s clients and practices as well as its business development and strategic initiatives

• Reviews, evaluates, and recommends research resources

• Presents research results with expert analysis and prepares written research reports as needed

• Collaborates with other department personnel to support business development, competitive research and strategic planning initiatives

• Creates, and keeps current, research-related content for internal knowledge sharing systems, such as BIN and LibGuides

• Serves as the department expert in select subject, industries or types of research, and leads special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or related field preferred

• 2+ years experience providing support for research and business in a corporate or law firm environment

• Knowledge of research methodology as well as resources for all media types in the areas of law relevant to the firm’s practices

• Knowledge of library technologies for communication, research intake, knowledge sharing and resource management. Experience with request tracking software Quest is a plus

• Ability to think strategically with careful attention to detail

• Strong customer service orientation

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

The Compensation range for this role is 43,901 to 73,951USD per year and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
