Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Experienced Workplace Coach (General Mechanic) to join the team at our site in San Antonio TX. In this role you will be critical in the effort to reduce rework and improve first time quality, promote safety, and initiate process improvement across all Aircraft Programs. Your structural expertise will be instrumental in building a strong versatile work force that will drive down cost while bolstering production.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria.
  • Analyzes and interprets data.
  • Provides feedback on assessment results.
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes.
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans.
  • Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of MRO General Mechanic experience
  • 5+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading teams
  • 5+ years of experience navigating and interpreting multi-platform blueprints
  • 5+ years of experience in Aircraft Repair, Tooling/Tooling Operations, and/or Modifications across multiple platforms
  • 5+ years of experience with avionics, flight controls, hydraulics, fuel, electrical systems, vehicle management systems, aircraft rigging, towing, jacking, structures, propulsion elements, landing gear, and payloads into an air vehicle

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience presenting to site and/or senior leadership
  • Experience working with minimal oversight and deliver positive results while adhering to all safety, FOD, and clean as you go processes.
  • Able to work variable shifts as needed

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Summary Pay Range: $79,050 - $93,000
