Are you passionate about making changes on campus around violence prevention? Are you looking for ways to support students who have been impacted by sexual and relationship violence? If yes, you can use your voice to create change on campus!  

The Violence Prevention and Advocacy (VPA) Program is hiring 4-6 VPA student advisory group members for the Fall of 2025 - Spring 2025 academic year. This group will have 1-2 leadership positions who will work closely with the VPA and are eligible for extra hours. We are looking for members who want to create a safer UW Bothell and Cascadia campus, who want to improve services to survivors, and who are looking to find ways to give back in an impactful way. We encourage you to apply no matter what your major, year, or background is! 

The Student Advisory Group will serve students by providing crucial feedback and suggestions around services and resources provided by the Prevention Health and Wellness team which is overseen by the VPA. This important work will be submitted to the PHW each quarter and will be used to create pathways for more resources on campus. This is a low commitment role where students are required to work 12 hours per quarter, which can be beneficial to a student's busy schedule.  Members will meet in-person for 4 meetings a quarter. Additionally, members will have a chance to develop professional skills around leadership, communication, and collaboration.

Compensation: $20.76 per hour

Qualifications

• Current UW Bothell or Cascadia College Student  
• Enrolled in 6 or more undergraduate credits for the quarter  
• Contribute professionally and respectfully to our diverse and inclusive work environment  
• Be in good standing with your college and no violations of any standards of the student conduct code. 
• A passion for supporting survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence.  
• A desire to provide feedback and suggestions to create change on campus.
• All new student employees must also complete UW's online Title IX course about preventing and responding to sex-and gender-based violence and harassment.
